After being bought by Foresight East of England private equity fund last year, Beckett Investment Management has seen staff numbers grow by 20% to 106 and assets under advice increase by £208m to £1.2bn.
While growth is important to the firm, Beckett was awarded B Corporation status in April, meaning people, purpose and the planet are prioritised as much as profit.
Beckett and CEO Ian White are heavily involved in the local community. Over the past two years, advisers at the firm have presented 23 education sessions to a total of 483 employees at local businesses. Topics covered include pension planning and capital gains tax.
The Beckett Academy was also launched this past year to provide staff with support and structure in their careers and to help Beckett attract new staff by giving them a clear developmental path.
