In Japan there is a deep-rooted culture called omotenashi, which means to wholeheartedly look after guests. It is this that Becketts’ service philosophy is based on. Specialising in complex scenarios, the firm has a no-stone-unturned approach when it comes to clients’ money.
Following a family-transition equity buyout in 2019, in which managing director Dominic McLoughney took the reins from his mother, the firm has created an enterprise management incentive scheme to allow affordable, tax-efficient equity shareholding for qualifying employees and to aid quality recruitment.
This, combined with a flexible working arrangement in terms of location and hours and an additional month’s paid leave after five years’ service, is all part of Becketts’ plan to attract the best employees.
The firm continues to invest in its team, with 90% of its staff sitting exams and being supported in further education in 2022.
