Bloomsbury Wealth is on a mission to improve the standards and transparency of advice in the UK.

The firm is a member of a global group of advisers that share an evidence-based investment philosophy and meet regularly to discuss best practice. In the UK, Bloomsbury is an ambassador for the Transparency Task Force, which promotes ethical behaviour in the financial services sector for the benefit of consumers.

One of the principals at the firm was as an expert witness in a case between the FCA and three advice firms in relation to the riskiness of products the firms had been recommending. The evidence resulted in the FCA’s disciplinary action being upheld, which Bloomsbury’s managing director Robert Lockie hopes will go towards building better standards in financial services.
