Ebor Financial Planning has a long-term vision. Founded in 1987 by David Dixon, the firm now has nearly 1,100 active clients after a few recessions, a pandemic and pushing through myriad regulatory changes.

This year Ebor extended its reach into the local community by taking on a student for work experience. It hopes to maintain a great relationship with the University of Bradford to bring through more trainees. Ebor is also a partner of Mind in Bradford and undertakes a host of fundraising activities to support the charity’s work on improving mental health.

The firm partnered with SimplyBiz to create the Ebor portfolio service, which helps it manage clients with smaller investments more efficiently. It uses Ebor’s existing in-house Bronte model portfolios, which have been around for nine years, alongside additional services on demand. Jelena Savonina is operations director.
