Fiscal Engineers has invested heavily in its staff in recent years. Founder and executive chairman Shane Mullins now leads a team of 42 after 14 new hires were made over 2021 and 2022.

Many of the new recruits come from the firm’s graduate scheme, which has taken on six people since 2018. In April, Fiscal Engineers also took on its first financial planning apprentice, setting the scene for more young advisers to come through.

The firm develops employees’ skills by creating a bespoke plan for each team member. This is agreed with their team leader and outlines goals and aims for the year, both professionally and personally.

As well as investing in staff, Fiscal Engineers is making another big investment for clients in the development of its mobile app My Fiscal Hub. This will include a digital fact-find feature as well as training options for staff.
