Fortitude was established two decades ago and is anchored on the Japanese principle of kaizen, meaning constant improvement. This philosophy applies across the business and beyond, whether it is employees, clients or the wider community.
Employees are encouraged to stretch themselves with qualifications. Two advisers are chartered financial planners with the Chartered Insurance Institute and certified financial planners with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Co-founder and director Mark White holds a diploma in financial planning from the CISI, while the firm has achieved CII corporate chartered status.
Financial planners at the firm have been involved with NextGen Planners and Back2Y, speaking on stage at events and writing blogs for the organisations.
This year, Fortitude has supported the local community through volunteering and fundraising initiatives in aid of charities and food banks, including a virtual team walk from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
For clients, the firm’s advisers recommend further reading after regular planning meetings, whether it is articles or entire books.
