Following a management buyout earlier this year, Informed Financial Planning (IFP) has a new board of directors with an average age of 38 and an equal mix of male and female.

Josh Richardson (pictured) has stepped up to become managing director, and the firm’s founder, Kevin Ferriby, has become chair of the board.

This marks the completion of the second stage of the firm’s succession planning. In the first stage, five new shareholders, four of whom trained with the firm, were introduced.

The plan allows IFP to remain independent. It says it is the only independent and chartered firm operating in East Yorkshire.

In other business developments, the firm has launched two new services in the past year: Informed Generation, a fully digital service targeting millennials and Generation Z; and a cashflow service to forecast the impact of asset redistribution upon divorce for family solicitors and their clients.
