Lexington Wealth might be a relatively small firm in a Wiltshire village but co-founder and managing director Warren Shute has big ambitions.
He is passionate about raising awareness of financial planning among consumers, particularly those from less affluent backgrounds, and to young job-seekers, to show it can be a rewarding career.
Bridging the advice gap is a big focus for the firm. To help take the message of financial planning to the nation, it volunteers with Citizens Advice and the Personal Finance Society’s Forces MoneyPlan, which offers free financial guidance to armed forces personnel and veterans.
Shute writes a weekly column in the Sunday Mirror, produces podcasts and YouTube videos and delivers financial presentations in schools, colleges and workplaces. In the past 12 months he has written more than 100 articles, produced around 20 podcasts and YouTube shows, given seven company talks and delivered two school presentations.
