A tie-up with VZ Group, Switzerland’s leading independent financial services firm, in May 2021 is bearing fruit for Lumin Wealth Management. Having the backing of VZ has enabled managing director Martin Cotter to accelerate growth plans for the business.

Its acquisition of Ashridge Financial Management in June was the second deal of the year, bringing the total number of acquisitions to five and helping to double active client numbers to almost 5,300. Funds under advice have grown by one-third to £916 million over the year.

Lumin has invested in various areas of the business, from marketing and technology to compliance and people development.

A main source of pride in recent months is its innovative use of data. A complete rebuild of its ‘data warehouse’ has brought together various systems into one unified workstream. This has allowed the firm to better understand its client bank and processes, improve the client experience and identify new marketing opportunities.
