Magus Wealth scored a hat-trick this year, achieving certification by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (Cefex) for the third year running. Cefex certification is given to firms around the world that meet independent standards on best practice. Magus also takes an active role in the Global Association of Independent Advisors.

It has been a busy year for the firm under chair Michael Aitken. It moved premises, switched its back-office provider, and rebranded to more closely reflect what the firm stands for (the Dara Celtic knot in its logo denotes ‘everything back to family’).

Three new entrants joined the Magus Academy, launched to help bring talented, ambitious people into the business with a clear career plan in place, and staff received bonuses for the first time through a new bonus scheme.

A white-labelled investment platform got up and running, with a new direct-to-consumer proposition is due to launch at the end of this year.
