Strategic Solutions is focused on the next generation of talent in financial advice. It brings two new trainees into the firm every year and supports them on the path to becoming chartered.

Partner Kevin Forbes is passionate about improving the reputation of the advice profession to encourage more young people into it. The firm has held talks in schools and for the youth teams at local football club AFC Bournemouth on topics ranging from problem debt and gambling to the importance of good financial planning.

Strategic Solutions has also joined forces with the Personal Finance Society to launch the Future of Advice scheme to link graduates with placements at local firms.

When it comes to its own future, the firm favours an employee ownership trust over a sale to a consolidator in order to keep the business rooted in its local community.
