Wealth Matters puts the onus on financial education to empower clients and their families to make good financial decisions.

The company, under founder and director Julian Gilbert, has created a six-part video series, How to Invest, available on its website, and published a book, Invest Your Way to Financial Freedom, which it gives to clients’ children to introduce the next generation to financial planning.

As for the wider community, Wealth Matters delivers free talks in local schools to teach young people about how bank accounts work, what cryptocurrency is, and how to spot a financial scam.

The firm invests in the next generation through its Learning for Life programme, which provides a route for starters in the profession to develop their career in four years. Students are immersed in day-to-day financial planning work and given support with exams.

Wealth Matters wants to shake up its tech offering and is setting up its own investment platform through a partnership with Seccl.
