Wealth & Tax Management has been around for more than 30 years, but that does not mean it is stuck in the past.

The firm, which is approaching £90m in assets under advice, has been building a modern financial planning business that places stakeholders including its staff and clients at its heart.

Managing director Tony Byrne ensures all staff have the ability to work from home and pays them above-average salaries for the sector. The focus on staff benefits comes from the belief that employees who are well looked after will take better care of their clients. Given some of the firm’s 135 clients have been with the business for 30 years, there is probably some truth in this.

When it comes to dealing with clients, the firm prefers to meet face to face, although it has started to hold more video meetings since the pandemic.

While Wealth & Tax Management may not be the biggest firm in the market, it makes a big contribution to the local community. Over the past five years it has donated £50,000 to the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to fund financial education programmes.
