Since setting up Wells Gibson in 2016, managing director Jonathan Gibson has built a financial planning firm around his vision of what wealth means.
The firm believes real wealth is about living a fulfilled and purposeful life, hence Gibson’s idea of ‘purposeful wealth’. To this end, it advises around 75 families on how to make the most of their money through the generations.
Portfolios are passive and based around evidence-based investing. Clients are encouraged to read up on finance, with new ones being given a copy of Purposeful Wealth, written by Gibson himself. They are also directed to the firm’s podcast and website, where regular updates are published to guide clients through difficult financial moments.
Wells Gibson has been adding purpose to its team by hiring apprentices and graduates who will become the next generation of financial planners at the firm.
