For more than 15 years, Whitings Wealth Management has been offering fee-based advice, putting it ahead of the curve.

Connected to a 92-year-old accountancy business, the firm has continued to think about how best to serve clients since making the leap to a fee-based model. Recent developments have included investing in IT infrastructure as the business grows to look after 625 clients with around £260m in assets under advice.

Whitings has also launched a graduate and apprentice scheme to bring along new talent, and developed ESG and sustainable investment options to give clients greater choice with their savings.

The firm, run by executive directors David Salmon and Adrian Mackenzie (pictured), emphasises the fact that 90% of its income comes from existing clients, something it says is a vote of confidence in the long-term value of the advice given by the team.
